Book 12 of 100
Book: Divergent by Veronica Roth
Why I decided to read: I was browsing a book store and came across it. Read the summary and thought I’d like it. Also a bunch of people have been rambling on about how it’s a great book so I gave it a shot.
My thoughts: I love this book. I really did but I couldn’t read it in one sitting. I give it 3 stars because of that and many other reasons. I just wasn’t really into it. I loved the storyline of the book. The story makes it feel like that maybe one day we will be living like this. Divided into factions, I mean we basically already are, are we not? Just right now they’re stereotypes and we’re all mixed up, but soon some people won’t be able to stand to look at someone who’s “different” and then we’ll be living just like how this story is written. I also feel this book is way too similar to the Hunger Games. Not that that’s a bad thing or anything but yeah. I “eyerolled” so much in this book. There were so many annoying, typical parts that made me put the book down. The ending of the book was when I actually got into it, I just hope that Insurgent is a lot better than this.
THAT WAS MY GOAL TOO! IT'S REALLY HARD TO READ WITH SCHOOL BUT IM ON BOLK 26 RIGHT NOW!!
I am so behind. I’m only on book 12. :c
I’ve been so busy. D:
How did you get your pen pal? I've been looking for one but I don't know how I'd go about finding one.
I submitted a thing to letters and gifts, which is a penpal blog.
And I just went from there. People messaged me and then we became penpals. haha.

Book: Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk
Why I decided to read: I read two of Palahniuk’s books before and loved them and thought I’d read some more of his books. Penpal also sent it to me.
My thoughts: Wow. This book is just horribly disgusting. As I read in another review, it is vile. I squirmed a lot and was in that shocking ‘oh my god’ moments a lot. Chuck Palahniuk really amazed me in this book. I wanted to stop reading it a few times but I kept reading it and I’m glad I did because it was well worth the horror and disturbing scenes. Some people say that this is Palahniuk’s worst work but I believe it’s some of his best. I def recommend this book if you’re into nasty, twisted books.
Book 10 of 100
Book: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
Why I decided to read: I loved the movies and thought I’d read the book. My penpal also sent it to me.
My thoughts: I really loved the book and it’s one of my favorites but some parts bore me and I had to put it down a few times honestly. I do recommend you to read this if you liked the movies. It’s better than the movies but I couldn’t read it in one sitting which is why I’m giving it 4 stars.

Book: Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk
Why I decided to read: Penpal sent the book to me. Also I read Palahniuks book Invisible Monstersand loved it so I thought I’d read it too.
My thoughts: My thoughts on this book are just: wow. I love twisted books and this one is by far one of my favorite twisted ones. I love the characters and the whole story of the book. Most people would think that a lullaby is a soothing song to help kids sleep but this one? It kills your children and you don’t even know it. I love it. The book left me speechless. I recommend this book to anyone who loves twisted people. :)
Book 8 of 100
Book: Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
Why I decided to read: Penpal sent it to me!
My thoughts: I couldn’t finish this book, it was really hard to get into and I’ve got this rule while reading books that I have to read at least 3-5 chapters until I give up on the book. I got to the end of chapter 5 and couldn’t continue it. Maybe it’d get better but I just could not finish this book. I love a lot of classic books but I guess this classic just wasn’t doing the justice for me. It’s really hard to read the conversations, I’ve got a huge grammar issue so I couldn’t do it. I’m not rating this book because I could not finish it.

Book 7 of 100
Book: The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time - Mark Haddon
Why I decided to read: Penpal sent to me to read.
My thoughts: When I saw that my penpal sent this book to me I wasn’t absolutely sure about it. But then again she reads some pretty great books so I knew that if she recommended it, it had to be good. The first chapter really grabbed my attention starting off with a murder. I don’t really read murder mystery novels even though this book is only part murder mystery, it was a great book. I loved how Christopher is described and I love his personality. This book is an amazing book and will make you cry if you let it. I definitely recommend this if you love mystery or books about people with problems. Oh, you’ll also learn a few things in this book. ;)

Book 6 of 100
Book: Like the Red Panda by Andrea Seigel
Why I decided to read: I liked the summary on Goodreads.
My thoughts: I can’t really describe my thoughts on this book because I didn’t exactly enjoy it. It’s really depressing and just not what I thought it was going to be. Spoiler alert: It sucks. Two stars just because there are some enjoyable parts. I would NOT recommend this book, only to people who like books about suicidal teenagers.
